Linda C. Sweeting


Linda C. Sweeting is a civil trial attorney. Since 1985, the focus of her practice has been in the areas of serious and catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, automobile negligence, premises liability, medical malpractice, negligent security, and product liability claims.

Ms. Sweeting is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. She is a member of the Florida Justice Association and is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Civil Circuit Court Mediator. She has been a member of the Florida Bar in good standing and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida since 1985. She has also consistently received a 5.0 (A.V.) rating from Martindale-Hubbell® for more than a decade, the highest rating awarded and determined by her peers.

Ms Sweeting served on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee of the Florida Bar for six (6) years. Her service included Diversity Training for Florida’s JNC Commissioners who nominate candidates for judicial appointment. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trail Lawyers, now known as the Florida Justice Association, and she acted as Chair of the Women’s Caucus. In the community, she has worked with Junior Achievement teaching in schools and has also served as co-leader of a Girl Scout troupe.

Ms. Sweeting’s early education took place in the Bahamas where she holds dual citizenship. She enjoys traveling, boating, hunting for shells and sea glass, musical theatre and the fine arts. Her passions are supporting community relief efforts and children in need.
