Sally Prieto-Chomat is originally from Tampa, Florida.  She recently joined Rubenstein Law in 2012.  Ms. Prieto-Chomat is an experienced litigator who has been practicing throughout Florida since 2005.  Ms. Prieto-Chomat concentrates her practice in serious injury, wrongful death and products liability cases at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts.  Ms. Prieto-Chomat received Rising Star status by Florida's Super Lawyers for 2010 and 2011.

Ms. Prieto-Chomat received her B.S. degree from the University of Florida (2001) and her J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law (cum laude, 2005).  She graduated law school with honors and received several Dean's Achievement Awards.  In her final year of law school, Ms. Prieto-Chomat worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, where she received immediate courtroom experience.  Ms. Prieto-Chomat became a member of the Florida Bar in 2005, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida.

Throughout her career, Ms. Prieto-Chomat has handled serious personal injury and complex commercial matters from the pre-litigation phase through the appellate level.  Most notably, Ms. Prieto-Chomat was part of the litigation team that won a $24.2 million jury verdict on behalf of its client - the highest compensatory damage award against a single defendant in a mesothelioma case to date.

Ms. Prieto-Chomat is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association. She is also very active in the community.  She has volunteered and assisted children at a local elementary school with a dance production for Hispanic Heritage month. She also participates in the Neighbors 4 Neighbors Adopt-A-Family 4 The Holidays Program.
