Kelly McCallumAttorney, Wage and Hour Employment Law
Kelly McCallum joined Rubenstein Law, in February 2011. Mrs. McCallum is a seasoned employment attorney, practicing law throughout the entire State of Florida since 2003. She currently leads the firm’s Employment Law division and concentrates her practice on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the representation of individuals who have been denied minimum and/or overtime wages. Mrs. McCallum has handled thousands of FLSA cases both pre-suit and in litigation and has successfully tried numerous cases in the federal court system to verdict.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Mrs. McCallum received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in 2000. She continued to earn her Juris Doctorate and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. While in law school Mrs. McCallum was the recipient of a Goodwin Scholarship (full tuition scholarship), a Book Award in Legal Writing. Mrs. McCallum and was staff member of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law, a selected group of students within the law school responsible for spearheading the International Citator and Research Guide - the first comprehensive research manual of international legal citation and law written for legal practitioners and academics.
Mrs. McCallum is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Mrs. McCallum is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Association, and the Caribbean Bar Association.
While not working or serving her community, Mrs. McCallum enjoys participating in cross fit classes, mud runs, and loves traveling and spending time with her family. As a member of Oasis Church, Mrs. McCallum is also engaged in and supports various missions and relief efforts in Haiti and the Caribbean.
