Anthony Soto
Anthony Soto is a Board-certified civil trial lawyer and has been a trial lawyer since 1989. He is a director at the Law Offices of Robert Rubenstein, P.A. and concentrates his practice in serious catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. He has settled and tried automobile, motorcycle, and trucking cases, as well as products liability and medical malpractice. Mr. Soto is a former Metro-Dade police sergeant who enjoyed an 11 year career in law enforcement prior to pursuing his law degree.
Mr. Soto is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Cuban-American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association. A member of the Florida Bar, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Soto serves as personal injury counsel for the Dade County Police Benevolent Association and as general counsel for the Hispanic Police Officers Association. Additionally, he has assisted the firm in representing many Hispanic American and Hispanic clients from South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Mr. Soto also serves on Florida International University's Council of 100.
Mr. Soto graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1989 where he participated in the trial team and was awarded the school's top honor for civil and criminal trial work. His distinguished career in law enforcement included investigative work as a detective in the Sexual Battery Unit and Warrants Bureau. He spent three years as curriculum development specialist and law enforcement instructor at the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice.
